NEN3140 and NTA 8220 verification

The fire safety of electrical equipment installed or in use in a building is periodically assessed using the NTA 8220 standard. This concerns low-voltage installations, work equipment, and machines in, for example, homes, offices, healthcare institutions, sports halls, hotels, schools, etc.

NEN 3140 is a standard that contains all relevant requirements for low-voltage installations for the Netherlands. NEN 3140 applies to the operation of electrical installations and equipment up to a nominal voltage of 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC.
