Permit grid supply

For larger grid connections (> 3x80A), a permit from the grid operator (local electrical utility operator) is required, in order to supply solar energy to the grid. Generally, the project operator/building owner it is always required to notify the grid operator about the capacity of the planned solar panel installation.

In case supply to the grid is not permitted, special technical solutions are available to produce solar energy in a safe and legally acceptable manner. We offer advice and tailor-made technical solutions for registered BIPV.world participants. This is a paid service. Please register and become a BIPV.world participant to access this service.

In the Netherlands, small business connections must report solar panels to the network manager here:  www.energieleveren.nl .
