DC electrical design and engineering
Solar panels are electrically connected to each other and to the building. Hence, this as well as (situational) environmental factors determine the DC cables and inverter design that is needed. A good DC design is essential for a safe installation and achieving the best possible energy harvest.
Once the layout of the BIPV facade is known, the other electrical components need to be included in the design—both electrical and architectural. We recommend using a specialist engineer for this task to ensure a good (perfect) design with correct dimensioning. A proper DC design enables a fast operational start and also a trouble-free and safe installation that will last for years to come.
The DC design is the basis for the electrical connection with the (AC) main switchboard.
