The Institute for Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment (ISAAC) of SUPSI has almost 40 years of experience in PV and 20 years in BIPV. Since 2004, we have been recognized as a Centre of Competence for BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) and as a leader active in federal, European and international projects of applied research, R&D, and services for industries, communication and awareness. We believe that knowledge should be shared.

Since 2015, SUPSI has been promoting the use of photovoltaics in construction by using the web platforms www.bipv.ch and www.solarchitecture.ch and thanks to offering different training programs ranging from bachelor's degree courses to professional workshops.

Activities:

• Training and support for stakeholders (architects, engineers, Industries, students, etc.).
• Promotion and transfer of research project results in pilot projects.
• Project development, applied research, and independent laboratory testing.
